The authorities of the Kaliningrad region will allocate 600 million rubles to support agriculture. The relevant amendments to the regional budget for 2022 were discussed today, June 22, at a meeting of the relevant committee of the Legislative Assembly. Funds to support the agro-industrial complex will be allocated from the reserve fund of the regional government. This will be done to prevent the negative impact of the geopolitical situation on the agricultural sector. It is proposed to allocate 150 million rubles to preserve jobs in the industry, 50 million rubles to the construction and modernization of greenhouses and vegetable stores. 250 million rubles are provided for the production of semi-finished products and frozen products. More than 30 million rubles will be used to compensate the costs of bakeries. The parliamentary committee supported the proposed amendments and recommended that they be adopted at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly.
