In a remarkable display of agricultural prowess, Kyrgyzstan has set a new record by exporting a staggering 130 tons of domestic agricultural products in just one week. The country’s diverse regions have contributed to this achievement, with fruits, beans, garlic, cotton, and more finding their way to markets in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and beyond. Let’s delve into the details of this impressive feat and its implications for Kyrgyzstan’s agricultural sector.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has recently reported a remarkable milestone in the country’s agricultural exports. In just one week, Kyrgyzstan successfully exported a total of 130 tons of various agricultural products. This achievement underscores the nation’s growing prominence in the global agricultural market and highlights the diverse range of crops that Kyrgyzstan contributes to the world.

Regional Contributions to Exports

Chui Region: The Chui Region played a significant role in this record-breaking export feat, contributing a whopping 814 tons of fruits to the export total. These fruits found their way to markets in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, showcasing the region’s potential in fruit production.

Talas Region: The Talas Region contributed 416 tons of beans to the exports, with destinations including Uzbekistan, Russia, and Pakistan. This reflects the region’s strength in bean cultivation and its ability to cater to international demand.

Issyk-Kul Region: The Issyk-Kul Region added 130 tons of garlic to the export tally, with Russia and Kazakhstan being the primary destinations. Kyrgyzstan’s garlic industry continues to thrive, providing quality produce to neighboring countries.

Jalal-Abad Region: The Jalal-Abad Region exported 65 tons of cotton fiber to Iran and 130 tons of capers to Turkey. This diversity in agricultural products demonstrates the region’s adaptability and capacity to diversify its export portfolio.

Batken Region: The Batken Region contributed significantly as well, sending 27 tons of garlic, 24 tons of sawdust, and 19 tons of almonds to Uzbekistan. This highlights the region’s ability to produce a wide array of agricultural goods.

Stringent Quality Control

The Ministry of Agriculture has emphasized the importance of stringent quality control measures during the export process. Quarantine and phytosanitary checks were conducted to ensure the exported products met the necessary standards. Samples of exported goods were taken, and participants in foreign economic activities were educated on transportation and storage requirements in accordance with the Eurasian Economic Union’s uniform quarantine and phytosanitary regulations.

Kyrgyzstan’s remarkable achievement of exporting agricultural products in just one week showcases the country’s growing influence in the global agricultural market. The diverse contributions from various regions highlight the nation’s versatility and potential to meet the demands of international markets. This accomplishment not only bolsters Kyrgyzstan’s economy but also sets a promising precedent for the future of the country’s agricultural sector. With continued focus on quality control and sustainable practices, Kyrgyzstan is poised to become a major player in the global agricultural arena.
