Thanks to the new greenhouse complex in Topki, 54% of vegetables for the entire region will be produced.
As part of the agreement signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by the Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev with the General Director of the Management Company “Kubanskiye Teplitsy” Oleg Vetrov, a new greenhouse complex will be built in the Kuzbass on the territory of the city of Topki.
“Agricultural producers of Kuzbass have been given the task of reaching full satisfaction of the region’s needs for fresh and natural products. To date, the inhabitants of Kuzbass are fully provided with grain, potatoes and eggs. Self-sufficiency of the region in vegetables is 45.5%. After the construction of greenhouses, this figure will increase to 54.1%. In addition, more than 500 new jobs will be created, which is a huge plus for our region,” Sergei Tsivilev emphasized.
The greenhouse complex will occupy 30-35 hectares. Tomatoes and cucumbers will be grown here all year round. The estimated maximum gross harvest of final products when reaching full capacity is 20,000 tons of vegetable products per year. The estimated cost of implementing the investment project is over 6.9 billion rubles. 556 jobs will be created. The construction period is until 2026.
