Rosselkhozcenter specialists found non-existent varieties of seeds in one of the shops in Sosnovoborsk.
Here is a list of some seeds that were on the glass counter:
- pumpkin “tidbit”;
- white cabbage “miracle for storage, “XXL”;
- carrots “chorus girl”, “marmalade”, “sweet sibirico”;
- cucumbers “puchkoff”, “Siberian troika”, “salad super early”;
- tomatoes “buffalo heart”, “33 piglets”, “hippo cat”, “champagne spray”.
These varieties are not included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements, which means that their sale is a violation of the law. A warning has been issued to the businessman. The Rosselkhoznadzor explained that entrepreneurs give different names to seeds in order to attract the attention of buyers and, accordingly, increase sales.
