The viticulture sub-sector is rapidly developing in the Stavropol Territory. The region traditionally occupies the 4th place in terms of vineyard area and gross harvest among the subjects of the Russian Federation, where grapes are grown industrially. The farms not only expand the area under grape crops, but also rely on renewal and technical re-equipment, replacing outdated equipment with modern units.
For viticulture enterprises in this direction, state support has been provided for a number of years – subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of previously purchased equipment. In 2022, 104.7 million rubles were allocated to support viticulture, including about 40 million rubles for the purchase of specialized machinery and equipment, which made it possible to reimburse agricultural producers for about 67% of the costs incurred. Vine growers purchased a total of 15 units of agricultural machinery for viticulture and 138 units of equipment for winemaking, including a grape harvester, destemmers, grape storage tanks and more.
“Currently, we are seeing a growing interest in the viticulture sub-sector. To this end, this year, state support in this area will be doubled and will amount to 226.6 million rubles. The funds will be used to subsidize the costs of laying new vineyards, carrying out maintenance work, purchasing and updating fixed assets and equipment used for the production of viticulture and wine products,” said Elena Tambovtseva, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
