On Saturday, August 27, in the Derbent region, a grape harvesting community work day was held with the participation of the leadership and members of the Government of Dagestan.
The event was attended by Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Ruslan Aliyev, Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Dagestan Nariman Abdulmutalibov, Murad Kaziev and Zaur Eminov, Chairman of the Committee on Viticulture of the Republic of Dagestan Sherif Kerimkhanov and other civil servants.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan at the subbotnik was represented by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov, as well as more than 20 employees of the department. The delegation of the ministry was one of the most representative at public works.
Before the start of the subbotnik in the village. Gedzhukh Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov addressed the audience and noted that this branch of agriculture continues to develop dynamically in Dagestan. He recalled that the republic ranks second in Russia in terms of vineyard area, and the plantations of JSC DZIV-2, with a size of 872 hectares, are a large cluster of high-tech production of solar berries.
The agricultural clean-up took place at three sites in the Derbent region at once: the plantations of OAO DZIV-2, OAO Im. Nariman Aliyev” and “Vinogradar” LLC.
Note that Dagestan accounts for 27% of all vineyards in Russia. This crop is cultivated in the republic on an area of 26.2 thousand hectares. In 2021, almost 238 thousand tons of grapes were harvested in the region, which was the best indicator in the country. According to the forecast of the Committee for Viticulture of the Republic of Dagestan, in 2022 the gross harvest will be more than 240 thousand tons. To date, the agrarians of the republic have harvested almost 16,000 tons of grapes from an area of more than 2,000 hectares.
